The Bobby Bones Show is joining BIG 95.5, Chicago’s New Country, effective August 13. The show will broadcast weekdays, 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., joining more than 120 stations across the U.S. and Canada.

The seven-year NFL veteran has signed on with Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan (KKFN-FM) and will be offering insight and perspective every Sunday morning at 8 a.m. Franklin, who retired from football in May, was originally drafted in the second round by the Denver Broncos in 2011.

KLAL/Little Rock (Alice 107.7) morning show personalities Heather and Poolboy took home top honors for Radio Personalities at the 2018 Arkansas Times Best of Arkansas Awards.

Perry Stone has been appointed the new Operations Manager for Talk Station WMAY-AM/FM and Rock Station, WQLZ-FM in Springfield Illinois. He'll also host afternoons on WQLZ-FM. Perry comes to Mid-West from Charlottesville Virginia where he was the Operations Manager for Saga's WWWV-FM an WINA-AM/FM.

Michelle Moore is the new VP of Sales for iHeart Minneapolis. That cluster includes nine stations as well as franchise partnerships with the Minnesota Vikings, the Minnesota Wild of the NHL, and University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Football, Basketball, and Hockey.

Beasley Media Group has promoted Lamar Smith to VP of Engineering. Smith has been with the company for the past seven years, most recently as Regional Engineering Director & Corporate Project Manager. He'll be based in Charlotte and manage large corporate projects throughout the country, as well as assist in overseeing the company’s engineering staff.

Former leading NFL tight-end Martellus Bennett is a lot more than a retired footballer, and we learn that from his new podcast, Revenge of the Jocks, which launched August 2 on PodcastOne Sportsnet. The weekly program goes beyond Bennett the athlete, as the Super Bowl champion explores the world of creativity.

ENCO has appointed broadcast industry veteran John Casey as Director of Sales. He will report to ENCO President Ken Frommert. Casey has spent the last 20 years with NewBay Media (recently acquired by Future plc), where he spent the majority of his time leading Radio World newspaper.

David Milstead, better known to radio listeners throughout Middle Tennessee as David Tower, died overnight Friday, July 28, 2018 at his home. Milstead was a recent inductee into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. Milstead was hired by WMAK-AM back in 1970 as a “news reader.” Within a year, he was news director. Other Nashville stops included WYHY-FM (Y-107) and WLAC.

On Wednesday, Westwood One announced the promotion of Julie Kim from Senior Traffic Director to Vice President, Traffic. Kim began her career in 2003 as a Traffic Coordinator with Premiere Networks.
