Howard Back At WBEB As GSM

1

In Philadelphia, Blaise Howard has been hired as GSM at WBEB-FM. Howard spent 18 years as the VP/GM of WBEB-FM. Prior to WBEB, he was chosen by Group W Radio to launch KPIX, their first FM News Talk station in San Francisco. Howard also worked for seven years at KYW Newsradio.

“We are thrilled to bring Blaise back to WBEB as the station formally joins the Entercom family,” said David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Philadelphia. “For decades, Blaise led WBEB’s sales strategy and success. He’s the perfect candidate to lead the station’s multi-platform sales effort.”

  1. I’ve only met Blaise a couple of times, as my years associated with Philadelphia’s 101.1 ended long before his long tenure there began.

However, there’s one thing I know for sure, if Mr. Howard wasn’t a superior individual when it comes to radio station management and sales, he wouldn’t have lasted more than 15 years under Jerry Lee.

Now, the question is … will David Field allow Blaise to do his job – along with the entire WBEB team – in the manner long demonstrated is the route to superior success in audience maintenance and revenue generation without corporate meddling!

This has been a unique station since its beginnings 55 years ago … it will only live on that way under the leadership of a person like Blaise!
