Bruce Scott Joins Bay FM For Mornings

San Jose will wake up to a new voice, starting January 17. Bruce Scott joins BAY FM from KOST in Los Angeles. Alpha Media VP of Programming and Bay FM PD Ronnie Stanton said, “It’s very exciting to add Bruce to the refreshed sound of Bay FM. He brings years of experience and a great radio brain to create an upbeat and fun morning show with the greatest hits of all time for the Bay Area."

Hawaiian 105 Duo Move From Saturdays To Full-Time

Mele Apana and Shannon Scott, known as Da Kolohe Krew, reunited earlier in 2016 doing Saturday mornings on KINE Hawaiian 105. But what started as a casual gig has grown into a highly popular show. So now the pair have been rewarded with the 5 a.m.-12 Noon slot, Monday to Friday.

Bama, Rob & Heather Get Extension At KVET

The on-air personalities for Country station KVET FM’s morning program, The Bama, Rob and Heather Show, have a new multi-year agreement to get their Austin listeners entertained. The program broadcasts on weekday mornings from 6 – 10 a.m. CST.

Smyth To Receive Humanitarian Award At CRS

The Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award winner is chosen by the Country Radio Broadcasters Board of Directors and recognizes someone in the Country radio industry who has displayed a magnanimous spirit of caring and generosity in service to their community. Former Greater Media CEO Peter Smyth will be given the award this year. He said, "I am incredibly honored and humbled to receive this distinguished award. I look forward to attending CRS in 2017."

Sid & Bernie Add An Hour

WABC Radio in New York City is expanding The Bernie and Sid Show by an hour, bumping the last hour of Imus in the Morning. The show will now run 9 a.m.-12 Noon rather than 10 a.m.-12 Noon, following Imus. McGuirk is the executive producer and part of the on-air team of the Imus in The Morning show. Rosenberg continues in his role as sports anchor for Imus. The Sid & Bernie Show launched one year ago.

Michael Mann will see his duties as Director of Sales in Chicago expand in the new position of Director of Sales Strategy, Broadcast Media. Mann will work closely with the broadcast division’s senior leadership and local managers to create incremental resources, better sales tools, and ultimately more defined sales strategies.

Radio Vet Cord To Host Morning Show

The new BEN FM Morning Show with Matt & Kristen will broadcast weekdays 6-9 a.m. Matt Cord has come in from sister station 93.3 WMMR where he was night host for 11 years. His co-host is Kristen Herrmann and their first show aired Tuesday, January 3.

iHeart Makes Big Programming Changes In Orlando

iHeartMedia has promoted three programmers in Orlando. Brian Mack (pictured) gets the newly created role of VP of Branding for the Orlando cluster in addition to becoming PD for Magic 107.7.
