Cox Media Group in Tulsa has named Frank Volpicella News Director for KOKI/FOX23. He most recently worked as GM for a monthly newspaper in Austin.

NRG Media announced today Mike Waters has joined NRG Media in the Cedar Rapids/Waterloo market as morning host for KOKZ-FM. Waters takes over in Cedar Rapids after working at Radio FM in Fargo.

Former WMRN, Marion, Ohio morning host Jeff Ruth has returned to the airwaves. The 40 year broadcast veteran is back on the air at WZMO, Marion Community Radio, hosting a talk and interview show that is currently focusing on the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Bob Layton, News Manager for Corus Radio Edmonton, celebrates an impressive 50 years in broadcasting on April 3. In his current role working with both FM stations and talk radio in Edmonton, Layton manages news programming for 630 CHED, Global News Radio 880 Edmonton, 92.5 The Chuck and CISN Country.

iHeartMedia has hired Bailey Coleman as the new VP of Programming for the company's 8-station cluster in New Orleans. Coleman takes over for Angela Watson-Charles, who was promoted to an EVP role at iHeart's new Community Division.

Emmis Communications and MediaCo Holding has added a new Chief Technology Officer in New York City. Alex Roman has been promoted in the cluster that includes WQHT, Hot 97 and WBLS-107.5.

WGN Radio AM 720 has announced a new host for the lunch hour business news program. Starting April 6, midday host John Williams takes over the Wintrust Business Lunch program.

A couple of South Florida personalities are joining WQBA 1140 AM for two new shows. Jose Alfonson Almora, Journalist and Radio Host along with Father Alberto Cutie, Radio and TV Host, went on the air March 31.
