Cumulus Media has announced Jed Mescon as Program Director and Morning Host for Talk Radio 102.3 FM/1150 AM (WGOW) in Chattanooga, TN. Mescon became a household name in the area after 28 years on WRCB-TV.

Country Radio Seminar is set to host a new installment of its webinar series CRS360 focusing on the current growth of the Country music industry. "Moment-Us: Leveraging Country’s Growth" is scheduled for Wednesday, August 23rd, at 2p ET.

Beasley Media Group is pulling out of the Diamond State. The company is selling its lone signal in Wilmington, DE, WJBR, to Christian broadcaster VCY America for $5 million. The sale of the station marks a significant devaluation compared to its previous sale price of $42 million in 2007.

In a Tuesday Facebook post, Julie Gates announced the tragic passing of her husband Gene on June 15. The duo were the eponymous hosts of The Gene & Julie Show, which aired in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas, Albuquerque, and Raleigh.

FOX Sports Radio is bringing back Countdown to Kickoff presented by BetMGM for the 2023 football season. Following its debut last year, the show will air live on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, leading up to both NFL and NCAA season openers.
