CMG Organizes Fundraiser For Shooting Victims
Cox Media Group Orlando’s K92.3FM (WWKA) along with Channel 9, WRDQ-TV27 and the CFE Arena will host a benefit concert next Tuesday. K92.3 will feature musical guests Maddie & Tae, Tyler Farr, Canaan Smith and Michael Ray. Proceeds from tickets ($20.00) and parking will go to the City of Orlando’s OneOrlando Fund benefiting those effected by the terror attack at Pulse nightclub.
Neuhoff Adds to Her Trophy Case
Congratulations to Neuhoff Media CEO Beth Neuhoff for taking home the 2016 Vincent T. Wasilewski Broadcaster of the Year award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association last night. Neuhoff was on hand to accept the award as members of her team cheered her on. The event, which included a "Training Camp" for radio and digital media sellers was held in Champaign.

Tom Kent Stays Put With USRN
United Stations Radio Networks and the Tom Kent Radio Network have signed a new multi-year sales and programming agreement. Without getting specific, the two sides sent out a joint release that said, "Through the end of this decade, and well beyond, USRN will be the exclusive sales representative for TKRN." USRN has represented Kent for the past five years.
Big Win For Chairman Wheeler
Despite the outcry that the FCC was overreaching and swaying to political winds with its net neutrality rules, a court has sided with the Commission, and given Chairman Tom Wheeler a big win, upholding the FCC's net neutrality regulations.
Pai Not Happy
FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai said he was "deeply disappointed" by the D.C. Circuit’s 2-1 decision upholding the FCC’s Internet regulations. "I continue to believe that these regulations are unlawful, and I hope that the parties challenging them will continue the legal fight. Pai says the regulations are unnecessary and counterproductive."

Jim Clerkin is the new PD and PM driver for Summitt's new Birmingham radio station WPYA, 97.3 Play. Clerkin spent 16 years in Boston at the legendary Kiss 108.
WGN To Continue Carrying ABC Radio
ABC News Radio and WGN in Chicago have extended their affiliation agreement through May 2018. WGN VP of Programming & Content Todd Manley said, “ABC News Radio has created the gold standard in live integration when it comes to covering evolving stories throughout the nation and around the world. Without fail they take our listeners to the scene and provide reporters who detail events real-time with WGN personalities.”
