The company -- which provides wireless, over-the-air content delivery solutions for television and radio broadcasters -- has named the telecom vet as the replacement for Phil Argyris, who is retiring. Argyris will remain with GatesAir as long as necessary to facilitate a smooth leadership transition. Swail has over 35 years of telecom and electronics experience.

She will be the new midday host and Music Director at WBAV/V101.9-FM, beginning July 10, 2017. Mac most recently served as the Program Director and PM drive talent in Indianapolis. Prior to that, she was the midday talent at WJMZ-FM in Greenville, South Carolina.
Patti Mercer To Co-Host Mornings On WRHI
The former Mrs. South Carolina will partner up with Lucas McFadden to co-host Palmetto Mornings on WRHI FM 100.1/AM 1340 (Rock Hill, SC), starting Thursday. Mercer is a Fort Mill native and she currently hosts Close-Up Fort Mill Tega/Cay from 12-12:30 every Tuesday and Thursday on WRHI.
FCC Must Fix Embedded Market Rule
It only affects two markets, New York and Washington DC, however it's important enough to Connoisseur Media CEO Jeff Warshaw that he's been providing the FCC with data, meeting with FCC staff, and has now written a letter asking the Commission to change its rules regarding embedded markets.
NAB: FCC Must Eliminate The Main Studio Rule
The NAB filed comments with the FCC in support of eliminating the Main Studio Rule, which has been on the FCC's books since 1940, and was revised in 1998. The rule requires The NAB says the rule will have no negative impact on how radio stations serve their communities.
