Rantz Joins KTTH 770 AM For Morning Drive
The Jason Rantz Show kicks off on the Seattle conservative talk station September 5 and will air weekdays from 6-9 a.m. For the past four years, Rantz could be heard on Seattle’s KIRO-FM. Rantz has appeared on FOX News, NBC Nightly News, and KIRO, KING, and KOMO television.
Stan Lipp Passes
WBSM.com/New Bedford, MA is reporting the passing of local radio legend Stan Lipp who died Monday in Florida at 89. Lipp hosted the popular WBSM talk show Open Line from 1964 to 2001. He was also very involved in the community, hosting annual drives such as “Quarters for Christmas,” which would raise money to help out families in need during the holidays.

Birmingham Station Flushes Format For Texas
SummitMedia's 106.9 The Eagle WBPT will host a "Pay to Play" on-air donation drive Wednesday from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. WBPT will ask listeners to make a $25.00 minimum donation with their request. The money collected will be given to the American Red Cross to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Bobby Bones Show Raises $150K For Houston
The Bobby Bones Show kicked off its fourth-annual Joy Week, Monday, and raised more than $150,000 to benefit the Hurricane Harvey relief effort in Texas through the sale of #PimpinJoy apparel, and more than $50,000 benefiting St. Jude's. Maren Morris (pictured) launched the week-long celebration Monday.
Commission Puts 9 More Pirates On Notice

Employees Allege Labor Violations at SBS
At a SAG-AFTRA press conference Tuesday several current and former employees at La Raza 97.9 and MEGA 96.3 in L.A. spoke out about unfair treatment at the Spanish-language broadcast company. SAG-AFTRA said SBS has committed a myraid of labor law violations. They say the former employees were unlawfully terminated by SBS and the current employees are underpaid.
Entravision Raises $3.2 Million For CMN
And that's a record. The $3.2 million was raised for the Children's Miracle Network during their 10th annual network-wide Radiothon, under the theme of "Un Million Para Los Niños" (One Million for the Children). This year, over 95 communities nationwide will benefit from the Radiothon.
