99.5 The Wolf (KPLX-FM) raised $230,477 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during a series of events, November 30 through December 3. The station hosted their annual 99.5 The Wolf’s Hunt for a Cure, Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® Broadcast, November 30 and December 1, raising $215,477 for the hospital.

iHeartMedia Norfolk, which recently flipped a CHR station to Alternative Rock, has hired Brett Ballard to program the station. He'll also host afternoons. Ballard joins the Norfolk Market from WTKX in Mobile where he was PD at WTKX. He also programmed WRKH in Mobile and WFFX in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for iHeart.

CBS News is reporting that former New York City public radio host John Hockenberry, who left his show earlier this year, is being accused of sexual misconduct by an author and some of his former colleagues.

Joel Murphy has been named PD for Top 40 KISS FM in Cleveland and Keith Abrams, Senior VP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s North Ohio Region, has been named PD WMMS-FM.

The show will now be called “Town Hall” after allegations of inappropriate behavior were made against former host Garrison Keillor. Minnesota Public Radio, the parent company of the show’s distributor, ended its relationship with Keillor after the charges were made last week.

Entercom has appointed Jim Fox as Vice President of Music Programming for the Dallas-Fort Worth cluster, effective December 21. Fox joined Entercom Sacramento in 2003 and will continue in his current role as Vice President of Programming in the Sacramento cluster until the end of the year

iHeartMedia Washington, DC announced Friday that Toby Knapp has been named new co-host for the morning show on 97.1 WASH-FM, “Washington’s Variety of the 80s, 90s and Today,” starting today.
