iHeart has named Chris Edge Area Senior VP of Programming for Raleigh and Greensboro. iHeartMedia’s Raleigh and Greensboro Area includes 10 stations. Edge is currently responsible for programming five iHeart Raleigh stations, a position he's had for the past five years.
Sonstein Signs Extension With Q104.3
Shelli Sonstein celebrates 40 years on the New York radio airwaves as co-host of the Jim Kerr Rock and Roll Morning Show by inking a four-year contract extension with Q104.3 Radio, it was announced Wednesday. Sonstein recently won a Gracie Award for best radio co-host.
Mac Attacks New Roles In Des Moines, St. Louis
Alex Mac has been named afternoon personality and Music Director for ALT 106.3, Des Moines’ Alternative Rock station, as well as evening personality for ALT 104.9, St. Louis’ Alternative Rock station, effective October 30. Mac will broadcast from 2-7 p.m. on ALT 106.3, and 7 p.m.-midnight on ALT 104.9.

Cumulus Launches New Endorsement Product
The product is called C-Endorsement Videos, and it's an extension of the on-air endorsements that are now done by most radio stations across the country. Local personality-branded video endorsements will appear as pre-roll video ads before content on third-party websites.
SiriusXM Q3 Ad Revenue Jumps 21%
Overall, revenue was up 8% to $1.4 billion, which is another quarterly record for the company. More impressively, while most radio companies are still seeing flat to very modest revenue gains, SirisXM's advertising revenue was up 21% to more than $41 million for the quarter, compared to $34.2 million in 2016.
