For now the court has set Monday June 18 as opening day for the trial between Todd Clem (Bubba The Love Sponge) and Nielsen. The trial was originally scheduled to begin April 2 but was postponed. Bubba is accused of making contact with a PPM panel member to juice his ratings and Nielsen as asking for $1 million in damages. Bubba claims Nielsen and Cox Media Group conspired to set him up. The jury trial is expected to last five days before Judge James Whittemore in Tampa.
