WYAY.FM 106.7 is now “The New Talk 106.7, Where Atlanta Comes to Talk.” The new weekday lineup includes The Shannon Burke Show, 9 a.m.-12 Noon; The Kimmer Show, 12 Noon-3 p.m.; and The Brian Joyce Show, 3 p.m.-6 p.m. The station plans to announce a new morning show soon.

(by Gregg Skall) Senators Orrin Hatch and Lamar Alexander announced on Wednesday a new bill they claim is the “most significant change in music licensing laws in decades.” The Music Modernization Act is designed to assure songwriters a fair value for their songs. The big question is, if The Act is passed, will it cost radio stations more money?
