JVC Media has hired former Howard Stern cast member KC Armstrong to its team at Long Island News Radio 103.9 FM. Armstrong will broadcast live every weekday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. from JVC's window studio at Long Island MacArthur Airport.

Pacifica Radio Gets $2 Million Loan

The Pacifica Foundation, a network of progressive stations, has been offered a $2 million loan to pay off part of its debts. Pacifica’s creditor won a judgment in court and the right to seize Pacifica’s bank accounts and properties because the company is $8 million in debt.

SiriusXM Enhances Dashboard Product

The company is calling 360L "SiriusXM's next generation of in-car audio entertainment." The new platform will include products for subscribers via both satellite and streaming. 360L includes all 200-plus channels, and allows users to experience more personalized content.

iHeart Flips To Christmas Music In Columbus

It's all Christmas music, all the time, for iHeart's WGSY-FM in Columbus. On Monday, the station flipped over to Santa 100 from its previous Adult Contemporary format. A station press release said this was "the most dramatic and exciting new musical direction ever undertaken by a U.S. terrestrial radio station."
