Jason Carr has been named Program Director for ALT 99.1 FM, “Cleveland’s New Rock Alternative,” and APD for 100.7 WMMS, “Cleveland’s Rock Station,” effective February 12. He will report to Keith Abrams, Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s North Ohio Region and PD for 100.7 WMMS.

The reason for the big penalty against The Cesar Chavez Foundation's KNAI-FM in Phoenix and KUFW-FM in Woodlake, California, is for violating the Commission’s underwriting laws by broadcasting announcements that promoted the products, services, or businesses of its financial contributors.

It was not a proud moment for radio Wednesday on Radio Row at The Mall of America, although it certainly is getting two sports radio hosts a ton of national publicity. The incident resulted in iHeartMedia's sports station getting kicked off Radio Row. A question for managers around the country: Is this good publicity?

iHeartMedia's KGB-FM in San Diego has announced the extension of their relationship with morning show host Bob Buchman. Market President Melissa Forrest tells Radio Ink, “Bob is a proven market performer and we look forward to many more years of top ratings in a very competitive San Diego Market." The length of Buchman's new deal was not disclosed.

Ever since it was announced that he hired David Mueller, who a jury believed groped Taylor Swift at a concert meet-and-greet, Larry Fuss has been the subject of many national news articles. The stories, like this one in Newsweek and this one in The Daily Beast point out the rage from Swift fans that is now aimed at Fuss for hiring Mueller. He's even received death threats.
