101 ESPN (WXOS) in St. Louis has signed Bernie Miklasz to a long-term contract extension to continue hosting The Bernie Miklasz Show. Miklasz has been a commentator, guest analyst, and host on 101 ESPN since 2009. Prior to his full-time status at 101 ESPN, Miklasz was a longtime sports writer and columnist at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and online at STLtoday.com

Media Monitors says The Home Depot ran just over 53,000 spots on radio stations all across America last week. GEICO aired 40,226. Indeed.com was third with 31,655, Jackson Hewitt aired 30,040, and Walgreens was fifth with 24,751.

Recently appointed Vice President of Programming for ALT 98.7 “LA’s New Alternative,” Lisa Worden, will expand her role and now oversee all programming for the station as Program Director. In addition, Worden will continue as Alternative Rock Brand Manager for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group.

Broadcasting visionary Ed McLaughlin passed away last Thursday night, in Palm Beach, FL. He was 91. McLaughlin -- who was to be honored with the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award at the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s Golden Mike Award dinner, March 5, was the man who launched Rush Limbaugh into syndication. In 2010, McLaughlin was the recipient of Radio Ink's Lifetime Achievement Award.
