Lauren Sivan To Co-Host With Dr. Drew

Los Angeles television anchor and reporter Lauren Sivan has joined Dr. Drew Pinsky as co-host of the daily News Talk radio show Dr. Drew Midday Live with Lauren Sivan. The show airs live Monday through Friday, Noon-3 p.m. on Talk Radio 790/KABC Radio (Los Angeles) and from 1-3 p.m. in a live simulcast on News Talk station KGO 810 (San Francisco).

Cumulus Banktruptcy Sacks Imus

The 77-year-old host told listeners Monday morning that his last show with Cumulus will be March 29. Imus said that it had to do with the Cumulus bankruptcy and he understood they are trying to save money. Imus was told he would not be paid past the end of his contract.

David Moving Out of Key Role at NAB

The NAB's Executive Vice President of Radio John David is moving from his day-to-day role as head of the NAB Radio Department on February 1. He will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor to the NAB. As the NAB reviews its organizational structure, Steve Newberry will have oversight of the radio department. David, who's been with the NAB since 1989, has also been on Radio Ink's Most Powerful People in Radio list since 2000.

Rush Honors McLaughlin

On his program yesterday, Rush Limbaugh took several segments to talk about his relationship with Ed McLaughlin, the media executive that died last week at the age of 91. Rush said if it wasn't for the chance McLaughlin took on him, his show wouldn't exist today.
