Los Angeles television anchor and reporter Lauren Sivan has joined Dr. Drew Pinsky as co-host of the daily News Talk radio show Dr. Drew Midday Live with Lauren Sivan. The show airs live Monday through Friday, Noon-3 p.m. on Talk Radio 790/KABC Radio (Los Angeles) and from 1-3 p.m. in a live simulcast on News Talk station KGO 810 (San Francisco). 

After five years in the Financial District, Sun Broadcast Group has opened its new location in New York City on 7th Avenue, steps away from Madison Square Garden. CEO Jason Bailey said, “I’m so excited about our new Midtown Manhattan home. I think we hit the jackpot. The new SBG-NYC is a place we look forward to entertaining in for many years to come.”

Beasley Media Group’s Fayetteville radio cluster, in collaboration with Cape Fear Valley Health, will present Fayetteville Fights Back to raise awareness about the opioid epidemic. The 77-year-old host told listeners Monday morning that his last show with Cumulus will be March 29. Imus said that it had to do with the Cumulus bankruptcy and he understood they are trying to save money. Imus was told he would not be paid past the end of his contract.

The NAB's Executive Vice President of Radio John David is moving from his day-to-day role as head of the NAB Radio Department on February 1. He will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor to the NAB. As the NAB reviews its organizational structure, Steve Newberry will have oversight of the radio department. David, who's been with the NAB since 1989, has also been on Radio Ink's Most Powerful People in Radio list since 2000.

On his program yesterday, Rush Limbaugh took several segments to talk about his relationship with Ed McLaughlin, the media executive that died last week at the age of 91. Rush said if it wasn't for the chance McLaughlin took on him, his show wouldn't exist today.

Premiere Networks and Buck Sexton, host of the syndicated talk radio program The Buck Sexton Show, announced Monday the launch of a new, history-themed podcast, Shields High.

Entercom announced that Kenny Jay has been named the new Program Director for Country station US*99 (WUSN-FM) in Chicago. Jay takes over at WUSN after programming Entercom's KMPS-FM in Seattle. Prior to joining US*99, Jay was the Program Director for KMPS-FM in Seattle.
