The NFL Hall of Fame quarterback will host a weekly show on SiriusXM NFL Radio, making his season debut today, September 11, and hosting live every Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to noon ET.

ALT 104.9, Albany’s New Alternative, is the latest station to add The Woody Show to its lineup. The syndicated program now airs on 104.9 Monday through Saturday, 6-10a.m. ET. 

The Broadcasters Foundation of America is preparing for an influx of emergency grant applications in the wake of Hurricane Florence. Broadcasters whose personal lives or property are affected by Hurricane Florence are encouraged to find out if they quality for an emergency grant.

Broadcast attorney David Oxenford has posted a new blog with very helpful information for stations about to be impacted by Hurricane Florence. He says broadcasters should remember their obligations when it comes to airing emergency information and may also want to consider a few of the benefits the FCC can offer in an emergency. Late Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission posted a public notice to help all broadcasters get back up and running as quickly as possible after Florence (and any other storm) makes landfall. The notice is in coordination with the International Bureau, Media Bureau, Wireline Competition Bureau, and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Get all the details HERE.

According to The Weather Underground landfalling Category 4 hurricanes are rare in the United States. There have been only 24 since 1851. Hurricane Florence is being forecast to hit the east coast later this week and will be in very select company if it manages to make landfall at Category 4 strength in North or South Carolina.
