The application window is now open for the Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio 2019 Mildred Carter MIW Group Mentoring Program. Currently in its 18th year, the program pairs up-and-coming women, who currently work in the radio industry, with female professionals recognized as leaders. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

Cox’s WSB Radio in Atlanta has named Drew Anderssen Senior Operations and Program Manager. Anderssen started his career with CMG in 1998 as the Operations Manager for KRMG News/Talk in Tulsa, OK. He replaces Condace Pressley who is now the director of community affairs at WSB-TV

JR Motorsports owner Kelley Earnhardt Miller and veteran NASCAR reporter Danielle Trotta are teaming up to host a new weekly show on the SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel. Beyond Racing will debut on Thursday, February 7, and air every Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.

SiriusXM CEO James Meyer detailed them in the company conference call on Wednesday. He said the number one challenge was active users and listener hours. And then there's that little bugaboo about actually making money. SiriusXM is expected to close on its purchase of Pandora tomorrow.
