The 2019 Conclave Summer Learning Conference will be held on June 19th -21st, 2019, at its new location, Delta Hotels Minneapolis Northeast. The 2019 event will celebrate 44 years of educating radio broadcasters next summer.
Howard Back At WBEB As GSM
In Philadelphia, Blaise Howard has been hired as GSM at WBEB-FM. Howard spent 18 years as the VP/GM of WBEB-FM. Prior to WBEB, he was chosen by Group W Radio to launch KPIX, their first FM News Talk station in San Francisco. WBEB is now owned by Entercom.

Seattle Gets Its Hip Hop Wake-Up Call
Seattle Hip Hop station KUBE 93.3 announced today the debut of The Wake Up Show, effective October 1. The Wake Up Show will broadcast weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Trio Of Marketing Vets Hired By WHAV
WHAV/Haverhill, MA, has added three marketing veterans with local roots. Marketing and radio veterans Win Damon, Cheryl Soriano, and Paul Ryan are responsible for raising donations from corporate sponsors and local businesses for nonprofit radio station, 97.9 WHAV FM.

The Case Against Carton Just Got Interesting
Former WFAN host Craig Carton has been screaming from the rooftops that he's innocent of defrauding investors in an elaborate ticket-buying scheme where he's alleged to use investor money to pay off gambling debts. Carton's co-defendant Michael Wright is pleading guilty and is now facing up to 20 years in prison.
Radio Show Attendance Up By 156
According to the NAB and RAB, total attendance to the 2018 Radio Show in Orlando was 2,130. That's an 8 percent increase over the 2017 Radio Show in Austin where registered attendance totaled 1,974. The 2019 Radio Show will be held September 24-27 in Dallas.
Cumulus Keeping The Stars
Cumulus has entered into a new multi-year agreement with the NHL's Dallas Stars, extending its long-term broadcast partnership with Cumulus Sports/Talk radio station KTCK 96.7FM/1310 AM “The Ticket.” The Ticket has been the exclusive radio broadcast home for Dallas Stars hockey coverage since 2009.
