González Gets Director Job In LA
Isabel “Isa” González is the new Content and Brand Director for Spanish CHR station KLLI-FM/Los Ángeles. González was most recently at Univision Radio where she was Sr. Content Director and Music Specialist for several stations.
iHeart Q3 Jumps 3%
Excluding political, iHeart's Q3 revenue would have been up nearly 5%. Behind a strong quarter from the its podcasting division iHeartMedia's digital revenue grew 33.4%. The network division (Premiere and Total Traffic) also had a positive quarter.
Urban One Radio Division Up Nicely
On a same-station basis, Urban One's radio revenue increased 4.2% in Q3, 5.5% excluding political. CEO Alfred Liggins said he was "pretty happy with the radio division's performance."
Christian Not Happy With Saga’s Q3 Results
With same-station revenue decreasing $1.4 million to $30.3 million compared to a year earlier, Saga CEO Ed Christian said the third quarter was unsatisfactory and he was not pleased.
Beasley Q3 Revenue Flat
With total revenue of $66.1 million in the third quarter, Beasley Media's same-station revenue was down $43,000. CEO Caroline Beasley said digital was up 37% in Q3 and now makes up 7.4% of the company's overall revenue.
Nielsen To Become Two Companies
Nielsen is spinning off its Global Connect business and creating two independent, publicly traded companies—the Global Media business and the Global Connect business. The Global Media business will be the company that includes radio measurement.
