According to ABC News in Tampa, former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan is suing 102.5 The Bone Morning Man Mike Calta (pictured), his former co-worker Matt Loyd, and Cox. The suit involves the 2007 sex tape recorded by Bubba the Love Sponge Clem that was posted to Gawker Media.

Alpha’s 102.3 WXLC/Waukegan-Kenosha, IL., raised $380 and collected 425 toys for Toys for Tots these holidays. In addition, the station worked with the Salvation Army in order to get children sponsored for the holiday. Listeners of the station sponsored all 102 kids.

New York Radio Great Lou Adler Dies

The death of Adler was reported by WCBS 880-AM in New York, where Adler started his career in 1959 and served as News Director from 1973 until 1981.

Lover’s Weekday Show Ending

Syndicated radio personality, actor, stand-up comedian, and hip-hop identity Ed Lover has announced that his weekday morning show, The Ed Lover Show, is leaving flagship Radio One Classic Hip Hop WUMJ-HD2-W275BK (BOOM 102.9)/Atlanta and its other Radio One BOOM affiliates, after a two-year run. He will continue with his weekend show.

Shortly after the Lover departure announcement, Radio One in Atlanta launched the all new Classix 102.9 “Atlanta’s Classic R n B.” Next week, The DL Hughley Show debuts weekdays 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed two weeks later with the Tom Joyner Morning Show officially returning to Atlanta on January 16th.
