Teachers and Nurses in Chicago are being honored by iHeart Chicago stations. The effort starts May 5, National Teachers Day and ends May 12, International Nurses day.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced Tuesday that Dennis Wharton, executive VP of Communications, is retiring July 1. Wharton has been with the NAB for 24 years and is the longest-serving spokesman in the organization’s history.

Back in March GeoBroadcast Solutions filed a petition with the FCC asking that FM booster stations using its technology be allowed to originate limited programming content to provide zoned programming to a primary station’s service area. On Monday radio station owners filed comments in support of the petition.
