Entercom and three other companies announced they were launching a new app-based ratings service with Shazam, although the details about the service were minimal, and when it will be ready is unknown.

When consumers listen to local radio, the DJ's will tell them when a band or artist, in the format they're enjoying, come to town for a contest. Now, when you give an artist a thumbs up in Pandora, you'll get a notification when that artist is making a stop near your town. And one tap will send you to the ticket purchase page. Pandora purchased Ticketfly last year for $450 million.
