Salem Media Group has debuted Freedom 1570 in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. The station will feature syndicated conservative talk shows. “Freedom 1570” replaces “Wellness Radio,” which had been on the signal for four years.

WBTW.com is reporting that WMIR/Myrtle Beach, SC, has raised over $80,000 from an oyster roast in North Myrtle Beach. More than 900 people showed up for the roast. The funds raised will help local families affected by cancer.

Heavy Winds Snap Radio Tower in Half

WAKY-FM in Elizabethtown, KY had its tower snap in half the day before Thanksgiving. Strong winds caused the 100-foot tower to break and left it dangling. Having this happen one day before a 4-day weekend certainly did not help in getting the tower replaced quickly.
