JVC Broadcasting CEO John Caracciolo tells Radio Ink that LI News Radio 103.9 activated its storm coverage at 3PM on Friday and was on the air live from the studios at LI MacArthur airport for the duration of the storm, even when the airport shutdown on Saturday morning. The NAB's Heritage Crystal Award recognizes radio stations that have won a total of five Crystal Radio Awards for exceptional year-round community service efforts.
