The product is called C-Endorsement Videos, and it's an extension of the on-air endorsements that are now done by most radio stations across the country. Local personality-branded video endorsements will appear as pre-roll video ads before content on third-party websites.

SiriusXM Q3 Ad Revenue Jumps 21%

Overall, revenue was up 8% to $1.4 billion, which is another quarterly record for the company. More impressively, while most radio companies are still seeing flat to very modest revenue gains, SirisXM's advertising revenue was up 21% to more than $41 million for the quarter, compared to $34.2 million in 2016.

Howard Video Coming In 2018

That was the update from SiriusXM CEO Jim Meyer who says Howard Stern will be a big part of SiriusXM's new app in 2018. "We're working hard and we're close to what we think is a nice addition to our product lineup. It (Howard Video) will be a key part of our new app functionality."

Skyview And JMI Team Up

Collegiate marketing firm JMI Sports has selected Skyview Networks as the official radio network distributor for broadcasts of Clemson football, baseball, and men’s and women’s basketball. The partnership will provide distribution services and satellite receivers to the Clemson Tigers Network.

Franklin Raff’s article on the Radio Ink website Tuesday used false information as fact, and further shows a clear lack of understanding of the current Main Studio rules.

It Was By a 3-2 Vote The FCC Eliminated The Rule

On Tuesday, as expected, The Federal Communications Commission eliminated the 80-year old broadcast main studio rule. Chairman Pai, Commissioners O’Rielly and Carr voted in favor. Commissioners Clyburn and Rosenworcel voted no. The Order retains the requirement that stations maintain a local or toll-free telephone.
