97.1 Charlie FM (KYCH-FM), "Portland’s Fun Christmas Music Station" launched its annual Christmas music playlist Wednesday -- the first Portland radio station to make the switch. The holiday cheer will run through December 25, when all of Christmas Day will be advertisement-free.

Seattle’s Warm 106.9 made the flip to 24/7 Christmas music Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. PST. Lucky Warm 106.9 listener Alyssa Batacan of Lakewood, WA, and her daughter, helped make the switch along with Allan & Ashley in the morning.

The long-awaited closing draws nearer as CBS Corp. announces that for each share of CBS Class B Common Stock accepted in its exchange offer, announced earlier, shareholders will receive up to 5.6796 shares of "Radio Common Stock" created just for the purpose of the CBS Radio/Entercom merger. When the deal closes, those shares will be converted to Entercom stock.

WGN Radio has announced it will do a series of live broadcasts from the “Saturday Night Live: The Experience” exhibition inside the Museum of Broadcast Communications at 360 North State Street in Chicago. The series will begin on Tuesday, November 21 with The Steve Cochran Show from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m

94.5 KTI’s “Truck for the Troops” radiothon raised $41,896 to replace a broken-down service vehicle for USO Wisconsin. The all-new truck has all the mod cons, and will mainly serve service members training at Fort McCoy. The radiothon ran from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, November 10.

Beasley's WRAT will hold its 19th annual "Broadcast to Benefit the People of New Jersey Thanksgiving Season Collection Drive" at Shoprite (Route 66, Neptune), Monday, November 20, 6 a.m.-midnight, and Tuesday, November 21, 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. "The Rat" will attempt to fill the 21st truck in the history of the event to benefit those in need in the community.
