WIVK Raises Over $340K For St. Jude’s
On December 12 and 13, Cumulus' WIVK in Knoxville raised $341,957 for St. Jude during its annual radiothon. It's the largest amount the station has raised with the event.

Cumulus' WABC’s holiday Radiothon for the Kids, broadcast live from Cohen Children’s Medical Center, raised a total of $205,213 for the Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
Capitol Radio Group Raises $190K For Kids
The cluster of WLFZ-FM, WDBR-FM, and WTAX AM/FM in Springfield, IL, raised $190,336 for St. John’s Children’s Hospital in Springfield and the Children’s Miracle Network. Capitol Radio Group is owned by Saga.
Redrock Cluster Raises $20K For Kids
Redrock Broadcasting stations MIX 103.1, KOOL 98.9, COYOTE 102.3, and ZION 104.1 hosted the 4th annual all-day radiothon to benefit St. George, UT, non-profit Root for Kids, benefitting children with delayed development and other disabilities.

Radio Has Lost A National Treasure
Paul Howard's radio career spanned over 70 years. He was a salesperson for 55 of those years. Howard worked for West Virginia Radio Corporation and Radio Ink ran a profile piece on Howard this past March. Howard died Monday after a short illness at the age of 93. More HERE.
