(By Chris Byrnes) It was 20 years ago that ByrnesMedia was formed. As I reflect on all the people I've met and worked with in the radio industry I got to thinking about all the things I've learned. Here are some that are perhaps more important today than ever as we all navigate the impact of a pandemic.

If they do, Nielsen isn't saying. When the ratings firm announced its cost-cutting plan Tuesday, that included eliminating 3,500 jobs, we thought you should know how that might impact your service. Here's what they had to say...

(By Laurie Kahn) As we see many states starting to discuss reopening for business, radio owners and operators also need to know how. While uncertainty is still a daily concern, there are many things that can be done now. 

The worst kept secret in radio has finally become official. ESPN has announced that the morning show of Mike Golic & Trey Wingo will be replaced by Keyshawn Johnson (pictured), Jay Williams & Zubin Mehenti beginning August 17.

Cox Media Group is partnering with the Tulsa Police Department to raise money for the families of a fallen officer and a second injured officer. Sergeant Craig Johnson died from his injuries after an early morning traffic stop last week. Officer Aurash Zarkeshan was also shot and remains hospitalized and in critical condition.

Another Hall of Fame ceremony has been postponed due to COVID-19. The Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame event was set for August 8.

After being off from his syndicated show last week Rush Limbaugh was back on the air yesterday and gave an update on his health. In February Rush announced he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and has been dealing with treatments ever since.

It was no secret that Scripps has been trying to unload its podcasting division so it could focus on Television. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Sirius XM will purchase Stitcher from Scripps for $300 million
