In 2007, Radio Ink launched the first Hispanic Radio Conference. Eric Rhoads was inspired to act by something he knew instinctively. It was the power of radio its ability to persuade and move listeners. In this particular instance, Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo and other popular Hispanic radio personalities engaged their audiences across the country in a common cause. That joint call to action resulted in major demonstrations, proving the adage about strength in unity. It provoked an idea: if Hispanic radio could mobilize the listening masses, why couldn’t its leadership do the same with advertisers, financial backers, and other business interests by using their combined influence to grow its voice within the industry?
Against that backdrop, the Hispanic Radio Conference was born. Over the years, the conference has addressed issues specific to Hispanic radio as well as the industry overall.
As Angie Balderas, SVP for integrated marketing of Entravision in Sacramento and another founding board member, sums it up, “People need to attend because if you plan on staying in radio, you have to keep learning and growing, and this is the only conference dedicated to Spanish radio.”

For 22 years, Radio Ink has presented Forecast, an annual industry financial conference at the Harvard Club in New York City. The event gathers owners, CFOs, group executives, managers, and Wall Street analysts to discuss conditions and predictions for the coming year. It is the only conference of its kind, providing participants the opportunity to hear about trends, focus on major issues in a joint setting, and meet the trendsetters shaping and analyzing the future. Though the primary focus is on the numbers, this conference examines the information that drives those numbers.
Starting in 2021, Radio Ink was joined by Radio + Television Business Report in co-presenting the prestigious summit covering a wide range of topics important to all broadcasters, both radio and television, as they look to the future of the industry. It was a resounding success and as such, has now become a permanent arrangement.
Capping the financial conference is the annual celebration of Radio Ink’s “40 Most Powerful People in Radio” and Radio + Television Business Report’s “Top Broadcast Television Leaders” who are presented their plaques and join us for cocktails in their honor. All registered conference attendees are guaranteed an invitation to this exclusive (and power-filled) Broadcast Leadership cocktail party.
