Just ahead of Thanksgiving, Radio Ink‘s 2023 Season of Giving Tally is picking up steam, with radio stations across America raising double the amount they did in the first week. Of all the stations engaging in community service this week, iHeartMedia Honolulu’s KSSK finished as the week’s top dog, raising more than $800,000 alone.
Other stations called in some celebrity help, like Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox for The Wolf in Seattle and Trans-Siberian Orchestra for KBBK in Lincoln, NE. Check out the rest of today’s headlines for three new additions.
While the goal is to surpass 2021’s impressive total of $23.7 million, radio has Giving Tuesday ahead and the official start of the Christmas holiday season to pick up the remaining $21.22 million.
