Billings, Montana Police are trying to equip the departments 95 officers with body cams. Hosts of the KCTR Cat Country 102.9 morning show have raised $50,000 for the project.
The Breakfast Flakes, Mark Wilson and Paul Mushaben, were inspired to help out the department when earlier this month Phillips 66 donated $50,000 to the drive to raise $131,000 for the cameras.
According to a report in the Billings Gazette the hosts pledged $5,000 from their Flakesgiving Foundation, to the cause. The foundation feeds the needy in the area on Thanksgiving day, and surplus donated funds for the event are carried over to the next year.
Listeners chipped in, including a $10,000 donation from the Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative.
