Over the past several months there’s been a lot of reporting that President Donald Trump has been listening to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter when it comes to funding a border wall. Former House Speaker John Boehner added more fuel to that fire this week.
During a trip to speak to local Republicans in Naples, FL., Boehner clearly placed blame for the recent Government shutdown on “talk radio people,” calling them the “goofballs on the right.”
According to The Hill, Boehner said the knuckleheads in Congress that listen to talk radio started blowing in the president’s ear and all of a sudden the president wants $5 billion for a wall. Boehner said when he was for legislative strategy, the last place he looked was talk radio.
So the knuckleheads in Congress influenced the knucklehead in the White House. Just shows that Trump isn’t really a leader.
Was there any mentions of “stultified listeners” in there?
Of course not. That would be rude, or even “star spangled awesomely awful”.
