It’s Official! Salem’s A Great Place to Work

That’s according to the independent analysts at Great Place to Work® who made it official with their certification. And they came to the decision thanks to the Salem Media Group employees themselves who provided their ratings in anonymous surveys.

“We are proud of the employees working at Salem, and the culture that has been created here,” said Christopher Henderson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “Not only are Salem employees the best in the business, but every day they are making a difference in our communities by what they do here at Salem. This certification just confirms what we already know, that Salem is a great place to work!”

Salem Media Group employees completed 586 surveys, resulting in a 90 percent confidence level and a margin of error of ± 2.71.

  1. And for the small sum of between $1,000 and $10,000, your medium-sized company can also buy their way in to this “certification”. Of course, you’ll have to promote the anonymous survey to your employees enough to get the happy ones to fill out the form but not quite enough for the disgruntled ones to participate too much. In this way, the results can be sure to reinforce the preexisting assumptions that the executive level and the HR division already have. This provides a high quantity of self-congratulation with minimal, if any, need to address any actual issues inside your company that you’ve been successfully ignoring.

Not much difference between this GPTW “certification” and the automobile manufacturers perpetual glad-handing by way of the JD Power “awards”. You come up with the award you want to win, pay your cash money down, and walk away with your participation trophy.

  2. I had the pleasure of working for Salem, in the corporate office ,for 6.5 years and loved every single day.

  3. Roy Radio: you don’t know what you’re talking about, sir and most of what you said is simply not true. Just wanted to out that out there. As one of the more than 1,600 employees at Salem, I can tell you that our business is strong, our work makes a positive impact in the communities we serve and we have a bright future.

  4. Easy there bubba (Michael)…Actually I enjoy Fox. But you can’t put in the same universe, credible news organizations like Fox, CNN, NBC, CBS or others with Salem Radio. Salem makes most of its money selling block time to shady churches, who prey mostly on the elderly for “donations.’.
.And their syndicated talk show hosts are right of far right…they continually smear and spread false information about any elected officials who are not anti-abortion, who are not drinking the Tea Party Pool Aid, etc. …Fortunately the small audience that Salem attracts, are mostly 70 years and older, and not much of a danger to themselves or others.

  5. Roy:

So, according to YOU, it’s ok for “LEFT” media to exist, but anything leaning to the “right” is NOT?? Do you work for CNN, or ANY of the other “FAKE” NEWS outlets?

    Preposterous!

  6. Sure, Salem is a great place to work! As long as you’re ok selling God for profit, and selling divisive extreme right wing politics, that Salem runs on their stations. Not everyone is on board with having to do that.
