It’s Four More Years For Rush

When he opened his show Tuesday, Rush took a few minutes to address his new contract with iHeartMedia and Premiere. He said the deal was for four years, which is half the length of his last contract. He did say he went back and forth quite a bit on whether he wanted to continue to do the show, do something else, or do nothing at all. He said he’s had the great fortune of being able to do something he loves, “at a high degree of success.” “I don’t feel worn out. I decided to keep doing it. I still love it.”

  1. The fact that the details of Mr. Limbaugh’s new deal were not made public was quite revealing.
    Unlike his last deal where the figures were gleefully put before the public.
    With his aging demographics and reluctance of certain advertisers to be associated with him, it is almost certain that he took a major pay cut and, most likely, iHeart has a few escape clauses in place based on behavior.
