According to AdWeek Facebook is launching a new service that will help advertisers determine a new way to measure how effective their ads are with the social media giant. The service will determine if Facebook ads are increasing in-store visits and offline sales. It will also make it easier for Facebook users to find businesses that are close to them.
Facebook will be able to provide advertisers with real-time information on the offline response to their ads. It will allow advertisers to change their creative in real time. For example, according to AdWeek, “if a national retailer has a separate campaign for each market, it’s able to see what’s working in California compared to Minnesota or New Hampshire.” Petco, Burger King UK and Cadillac are some of the advertisers already using the service.
