Alpha Media-Lincoln has named Double J Content Director for CHR KFRX. Double J comes to Lincoln from Top 40/Rhythmic KPHW (POWER 104.3), Honolulu, where he was APD and morning show host.

SVP of Compliance and Industry Relations will be Nicole Kuntz’s full title. She’ll also be the company’s Chief Compliance Officer. Kuntz brings more than 10 years of digital advertising experience to her new position. She is a Certified System Information Auditor.

Juan Alicea, the longtime Mets Spanish radio broadcaster has died. He was behind the mic for over 4,000 Mets games.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America has announced Dave Lougee, President and CEO of TEGNA, as recipient of its 2020 Golden Mike Award.

The company is bringing Aaron Trimmer to the Arizona capital to be Program Director for 550 KYFI (News), Fox Sports 910 Phoenix, and KYFI 2 (Talk), effective July 5. Trimmer will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station brands’ on-air and digital news programming, as well as local events and partnerships.

He painted pictures of poetry with is voice. Legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully has died at the age of 94. During Tuesday night's L.A. Dodgers game, play-by-play man Joe Davis, who succeeded Scully in 2017, said: "We lost the greatest ever to do it. Vin Scully was and is and always will be the Dodgers. Garrett Phillips is the new producer of the Tim & Chelsea morning show on Hubbard’s WIRK/West Palm Beach, FL, after rising through the ranks of the company's cluster in the region. 

Rickey Smiley will host the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show on September 7 at the 2017 Radio Show in Austin. Smiley last hosted the Marconi Awards back in 2015 in Atlanta.

90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh’s NPR news station host Maria Scapellato will retire this fall. Scapellato has hosted Morning Edition for the past five years.
