Dina “Dina B” Bonanni has been promoted to afternoon drive host on WKIS-FM, Kiss 99.9 Miami. She will host from 2:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. and will also engage with listeners across the station’s social media channels. Dina B. has been with WKIS-FM since 2010.

WECK (AM 1230 & FM 102.9) in Buffalo has hired Buffalo broadcasting veteran Joe Chille to host afternoons. For more than 30 years, Chille hosted mornings at Buffalo’s 96.1 WJYE (now WMSX) and served as operations manager for JOY and its sister stations WBLK, Jack-FM and WYRK, until 2012.

WBZI announced on Thursday that Bucks Braun passed away unexpectedly. Since 2004, Braun hosted mornings for Classic Country Radio, a network of five southwest Ohio stations in downtown Xenia. Braun hosted shows in Ohio, Florida, Mississippi, Arizona, and Kentucky before joining WONE in Dayton in 1989. Braun was 68 and the cause of death is unknown.

According to Chicago media writer Robert Feder, Mancow Muller has dropped his lawsuit against Cumulus Market Manager Marv Nyren. According to Feder, Muller sued Nyren shortly after he was hired by Cumulus in November, claiming he had “suffered emotionally and physically with the prospect that Nyren will continue his efforts to retaliate against him.”

Tyrone Johnson and Natalie Egenolf now have full-time jobs at 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia. Johnson is hired as producer of The Mike Missanelli Show. Natalie Egenolf will move from part-time to full-time (from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) as update anchor and Fanatic Social Media Coordinator.

The nationally syndicated Steve Sanchez Show is expanding to a daily program on January 8. Genesis Communications Network syndicates Sanchez. Sanchez likes to banter about politics, culture, and faith. He's a regular guest on Fox Business with Lou Dobbs and the Fox News Channel.

The Source magazine has released their annual Power 30 list of the most powerful players in Hip-Hop culture, and The Breakfast Club topped the list of radio DJs for the fifth consecutive year. They were dubbed “the most powerful talk show and squad, period.”

In a newly created position, Tim Sabean has been hired by Westwood One as SVP of Digital Content. Sabean was SVP for the Howard Stern Channels for 10 years before leaving 2 years ago.

ESPN New York afternoon host Michael Kay is not praising Mike Francesa for his 30-year run on WFAN. On his show, Kay said, “We don’t have to pay homage to competition that never really was nice to us." Kay and Francesa had battled for years over who was winning in the ratings. There's another reason Kay will not show Francesa any respect.
