Long-time Kansas City radio personality Kelly Urich has been recruited to anchor mornings on Classic Hits station 94.9 KCMO-FM. Kelly Urich Mornings debuts on Tuesday, December 26, and will air weekdays 6-10 a.m.
Kallao Joins NPR-Distributed Show In Philly
WXPN of the University of Pennsylvania has brought in Stephen Kallao as contributing host for the NPR-distributed daily music program World Café. In this role, Kallao will assist in producing the program’s radio and digital special features and conduct interviews with a wide variety of musicians.
Ballard Takes Control of Norfolk Alt. Rocker
iHeartMedia Norfolk, which recently flipped a CHR station to Alternative Rock, has hired Brett Ballard to program the station. He'll also host afternoons. Ballard joins the Norfolk Market from WTKX in Mobile where he was PD at WTKX. He also programmed WRKH in Mobile and WFFX in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for iHeart.
