Urban One Founder and Chairperson Cathy Hughes will receive the 2018 Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award from the Broadcasters Foundation of America. The award will be presented at the Foundation’s annual breakfast on Wednesday, April 11 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.
The Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award is given to a broadcaster whose work exemplifies innovation, community service, advocacy, and entrepreneurship. It salutes its namesake Lowry Mays and is underwritten by The Mays Family Foundation.
