Westwood One Calls Back Hosts For 24/7 Formats

The network is welcoming back three on-air personalities to the its 24/7 Formats division — Marconi, Jay Coffey, and Tony Scott — plus adding veteran Lynn Briggs to the network roster. Here are all the details.

Marconi returns to Westwood One’s Rock 2.0. Marconi also worked at WKQX/Chicago, KUFO/Portland, and KNDD/Seattle.

Jay Coffey is well-known for playing the hits in Los Angeles for over 28 years on KIQQ and on K-EARTH 101, where he became Music Director, Assistant Program Director, and eventually Program Director. Coffey also worked at KBSG/Seattle, KFRC/San Francisco, and MAX-FM/San Diego. Coffey is returning to Classic Hits, middays.

Tony Scott has worked for some of America’s biggest radio stations, including 95.5 KLOS, K-Earth 101, and 100.3 The Sound, all in Los Angeles. Scott also worked for over 25 years on Westwood One’s Classic Rock format, to which he is returning as nighttime host.

Nevada Radio Hall of Fame veteran Lynn Briggs is taking on AC, afternoons. Briggs has worked in many of the largest markets in the country as a program director, music director, and on-air personality, including WJLB/WMXD/WHYT in Detroit, KJLH/Los Angeles, WQHT/New York, KOAI/Dallas, KOAS/KDWN/Las Vegas, and KSBL/Santa Barbara.

Completing the new Westwood One 24/7 Formats division hires are: Classic Hits — Alan Craig, mornings; Bryan Jester, nights, and Joyce Jefferson, nights; Classic Rock — Whip, mornings and Maria Danza, middays; Hot AC-A – Chuck Clark, afternoons and Kairee Burnor, nights; Hot AC – Carson, nights; AC – Maria Miller, afternoons; AC-B – Brian Curry, nights; and Rock — Eddie Barella, middays.
