The NAB is now accepting entries for the 2016 NAB Crystal Radio Awards. Since 1987 The Crystal's have been honoring stations that perform outstanding community service. 50 finalists are chosen and there are 10 winners. Entry submissions must be received by January 29. Winners are announced at the NAB Show Radio Luncheon, held Tuesday, April 19 in Las Vegas.
Triton Digital Launches New Podcast Product
The new product from Triton is called Tap Podcast. It's a customized version of the Triton Advertising Platform built specifically for podcast publishers. The features within Tap Podcast are designed to provide flexibility and advanced targeting capabilities so podcasters have better control of inserted ads.

Carol Floyd Joins Advanced Media Partners
AMP has hired Floyd as GSM for its four-station radio group in Peoria. Floyd spent the last year as GM for Connoisseur's three stations in Bloomington. Prior to that, she was with Bud Walters' Cromwell Group for nearly 12 years as GM in Charleston-Mattoon, Illinois.
Freeman Promoted To GSM In Miami
Amy Freeman is the new GSM for Entercom's WLYF/LITE FM and WMXJ/The Beach in Miami. Freeman was formerly regional account manager for Lincoln before the Entercom purchase. Prior to that, she was VP/Director of Sales for iHeart Radio Los Angeles, which included top biller KIIS-FM LA.
Sliwa Gets Another Hour On WABC
77 WABC in New York has added a second show featuring Curtis Sliwa to its weekday programming schedule. It's called The Drive at Five with Curtis Sliwa, and it will air from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Sliwa will continue as co-host of The Curtis and Kuby Show on 77 WABC, weekdays from Noon-3:00 p.m. He replaces Doug McIntyre, who remains at KABC/ LA.
Curtiss Johnson Leaving WDRV Chicago
The Chicagoland Radio and Media Blog has the details about Johnson departing as PD of the Hubbard station where he's only held the job for about 18 months. Johnson says he'll remain PD for a short while longer, while the station searches for his replacement.
SiriusXM Exceeds Subscriber Numbers
On Tuesday, SiriusXM announced it ended 2015 with 29.6 million subscribers. That's 2.3 million more subscribers than the company finished with at the end of 2014. The company had projected 2 million new subs.
