iHeartMedia Lawsuit Stays in Bexar
MySA.com is reporting that the upcoming May 16 court showdown between iHeartmedia and some of its bondholders will remain in Bexar County, Texas. A state district court judge has denied a motion by the bondholders to change the jurisdiction of iHeart’s lawsuit.

Steady As She Goes On The Media Monitors Chart
The Home Depot (47,622) and GEICO (43,753) remain at the top of the Media Monitors weekly spot chart for the week ending May 6. Lowe's moves up one spot to number three airing 34,969 commercials on radio stations all across the country. McDonald's also moved up one position to number four with 27,226 spots and ProFlowers moved from 9th to round out the top five, with 23,580.
iHeart’s Larry Price Shifting To Sports
As of May 15, iHeartMedia Honolulu morning man Coach Larry Price is ending his 33-year run as half of KSSK's Adult Contemporary morning show duo of Perry & Price. Price plans to focus on other interests within the company though. He plans to launch a new sports show with Rick Hamada on sister station FOX Sports 990 that will air on Saturdays at 11 a.m.
Beasley Stocking Up On Florida Translators
Broker Bob Heymann of Media Services Group tells us Beasley is picking up an FM translator in Greenacres and Pompano Beach from not-for-profit Reach Communications. Beasley is also buying a CP for a translator in Coral Springs from Calvary Chapel Church. The company is paying $125,000 for the Pompano Beach translator and a combined $125,000 for the Greenacres translator and Coral Springs CP.
St. Jude Raises $4 Million With Help From Univision
Working with Univision Local Media, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital raised $4 million during this year’s Promesa y Esperanza (Promise and Hope) radio event held in 17 media markets in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, April 7-8. By collaborating with Univision, coverage of the St. Jude mission extended across several platforms to reach Hispanic consumers from coast to coast.
