Amy Lewis Schachter (pictured) is PodcastOne's new VP for East Coast Sales. Schachter joins PodcastOne after 20 years with CBS Radio and Digital properties. The company also promoted Dana Senit to Vice President for West Coast Sales. Senit joined PodcastOne in 2015.

(By Ronald Robinson) In a candid and self-effacing editorial, Radio Ink Chairman/CEO Eric Rhoads pleaded guilty to the charge of having his attention drawn away by “shiny objects” -- more often than he was comfortable with. Harsh penalties will not be applied, but “forgiveness” may be indefinitely withheld. Besides, those shiny-object episodes are still considered as standard issue “guy thingies.”

Former Opie & Anthony Producer Guilty Of Harassment

The New York Daily News reports Benjamin Sparks pleaded guilty Monday to harassing Gregg (Opie) Hughes (pictured). He must complete four days of community service and must stay away from Hughes, who says Sparks had been harassing him and his family for nine years. Opie and Anthony are no longer together after Anthony Cumia was let go by SiriusXM after he tweeted out racist comments.

Station Dropping NPR Program Because Of Pandora

Mike Savage (pictured) is the General Manager at WBAA in Lafayette, Indiana. Savage says, as of August, WBAA will no longer carry NPR's This American Life because the show will be distributed on Pandora. Savage says that is inconsistent with the mission of Public Radio. He also says host Ira Glass is being disingenuous about what he's trying to do.

iHeartMedia Expands Sports Show To San Antonio

The Sports Buffet is hosted by the voice of the University of Texas sports, Craig Way, and UT Football and NFL veteran Rod Babers. iHeartMedia is expanding the show with the addition of a studio in San Antonio and adding a simulcast of the show on The Ticket 760 in that market.

Scott Goldberg Slides Into Middays At ABC Radio

ABC Radio VP and GM Steve Jones makes the announcement that Goldberg has been named the midday Information Network anchor for ABC News Radio, filling the role previously held by Cheri Preston. Preston took over the morning drive anchor duties for the ABC News Radio Information Network. Goldberg will anchor national newscasts during middays each weekday.

Delmarva Promotes Brad Austin

Austin is moved up to the newly created position of Corporate Director of Programming for Delmarva Broadcasting. He'll now be responsible for everything that goes out over the air on all none of the company's radio stations. He'll also keep his job as Operations Manager for WXCY-FM in Wilmington, DE.
