Professor Emeritus at Hofstra University Bob Papper, in his eighth in a series of reports developed from RTDNA's annual survey of newsrooms across the United States, says that while the minority workforce in TV was up over the past year, it was down in radio. And, overall it was a mixed picture for minorities and women in radio. Here are the specifics.

The feature called Trumped was syndicated by Premiere and heard on several hundred radio stations from 2004 to 2008. Both Fortune and The Wall Street Journal have now run stories saying Trump used the radio show repeatedly as a platform to objectify women.

Radio One announced on Tuesday it is ready to cover the upcoming political conventions from "the Black perspective." Radio One Corporate Communications VP Yashima AziLove said, “There couldn’t be a more critical time in our country for Black media to engage in the political process."

So what about that recent Music Biz report? The one that prompted Forbes to run this headline: "Millennials Aren't Very Interested In Traditional Radio Any More." The one that concluded that a majority of millenials are opting to stream their music rather than listen to the radio. The one that concludes 15 to 19-year-olds rely heavily on connected devices like smartphones, which accounted for 41% of their listening time.

The company says U-LAB is a Music Innovation Center which will "incubate the next generation of artists and foster music journalism of the future." Univision says this collaboration between Uforia Music and Casa Limon is part of the company's expanding integrated music strategy.

Conry has taken over the 3-6 p.m. slot at Power Talk 1360/1280 in Modesto. Conry is heard throughout the Midwest, Southeast, and West Coast, and has been on-air in Central California for three years on Sacramento's News Radio KFBK. In addition to his own show, Conry has sat in for Jason Lewis and Mark Belling nationally.

Paul Giammarco will join Lite Rock 105/WWLI-FM in Providence to host afternoons as of Tuesday, July 26. Giammarco moves to WWLI-FM from the CW28, where he was in account management and development.
