iHeartMedia announced Wednesday that Josh Everett has been named Director of Spoken Word Programming for its Kentucky-Indiana Region. Everett will also oversee NewsRadio 840 WHAS-AM in Louisville. He replaces long-time WHAS-AM PD Kelly Carls who's retiring. Everett will be based out of Louisville, moving over from iHeart's KHOW-AM and KDSP-AM in Denver, where he was PD.

Entercom's KQMT 99.5 The Mountain is bringing in Dan Hardee for the afternoon drive slot to replace 36-year radio veteran Dan Mitchell, who's retiring to spend more time with his family.

New York City talker 77 WABC is adding a new weekend show that goes behind the scenes of the fashion industry. Always in Fashion will be hosted by one of the fashion industry’s most successful business leaders, Mark Weber. The one-hour weekly business program will run Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 p.m. EST.

That announcement was made Wednesday. The joint sports talk venture between NBC Sports and Westwood One can be streamed via Apple Music.

Cumulus has hired John Abbot as its new Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2016. Abbot most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Telx Holdings, a provider of connectivity, co-location, and cloud services in the data center industry. Abbot replaces J.P. Hannan, who resigned his position after six years in order to pursue other interests. Hannan will assist the company for several months during the transition.

A total of $3,489 was presented to the Alameda County Community Food Bank as part of the “Hoops for Hunger” program for the 2015-2016 NBA regular season. 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM) and 1st United Credit Union teamed up to raise the funds. For every Golden State Warriors regular season basket scored, 1st United Credit Union donated $1 to the food bank.

The New York Daily News has the details about Zev Brenner who received one year probation and a $2,500 fine for not filing his tax returns for years. Brenner hosts "Talkline" on WMCA. He pleaded guilty to not filing a tax return in 2009. As it turned out he had not filed from 2003 to 2011. Brenner already paid $63,764 back to the IRS for 2009 to 2011. CBS New York has the details about the death of the longtime New York City DJ who worked at WHN, WYNY, and most recently WCBS-FM. Daniel’s son, Chris Daniel, sent out a message saying his father died “suddenly” Tuesday morning. The cause of Daniel’s death was not indicated.
