Capitol Broadcasting announced Monday that 2015 Marconi award winners Gene and Julie will no longer be hosting mornings on MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM. We spoke to GM Katie Phillips and asked her about the change.

$15K Fine Proposed For Alleged Florida Pirate

The FCC Enforcement Bureau has issued a notice of apparent liability for $15,000 to a Florida pastor for operating an unlicensed broadcast on 89.1 and 102.1 FM in Broward County. The bureau says Kender Maxime was warned that operating the stations was illegal and that he could face further enforcement action, but disregarded those warnings.

Alan Henry, Gordon Hastings Publish Book

It's called "A Man and His Medium,"and Hastings tells Radio Ink it's a memoir of Alan Henry and he helped Henry write it. The book includes information about talk radio in Los Angeles from the early 1960s and extensive information on the development of the all-news radio format. The book should be available later this week.

Changes at Fox News Channel as Jack Abernethy -- who in an earlier role spearheaded the launch of Fox News Radio -- is named co-president of Fox News Channel, alongside Bill Shine, who moves into the co-president role from EVP. Both report to FNC Exec. Chairman Rupert Murdoch.
