St. Louis native Chris Rongey is joining 101 ESPN’s PM Drive show The Fast Lane, beginning Wednesday, February 8. Rongey joins the sports-talk station after 14 years on the air at WSCR-AM 670 “The Score” in Chicago, where he filled a variety of roles for White Sox broadcasts. Rongey is a graduate of Illinois State University, earning a B.S. in Mass Communication/Broadcast journalism and an M.S. in Communications. He has worked as a weekend news anchor at WJBC 1230 AM in Bloomington, as an anchor at WSCR The Score 670 AM, and held down the Total Traffic Chicago reporter job.

Commenting on the addition of Rongey, 101 ESPN Program Director Chris “Hoss” Neupert said, “We are excited to welcome Chris Rongey home. He is a tremendous talent and will be a great addition to the 101 ESPN team.”

Rongey added, “As you can imagine, I can’t wait to work with Randy, Brad, and the rest of the crew. It’s a solid group of people at 101 and this is a great opportunity to be a part of the premier sports station in St. Louis while also being able to live closer to my family.”
