PodcastOne and Southern Cross Austereo have signed a long-term partnership to create PodcastOne Australia. SCA will operate PodcastOne Australia as the exclusive partner in Australia and New Zealand, with select SCA podcasts made available in the U.S. on the PodcastOne platform. PodcastOne Australia will be available early in 2017.

Comedian J. Anthony Brown was part of the Tom Joyner Morning Show for 20 years. It was announced Monday that he would no longer be part of the show. In a video, Brown told his fans there are two things you should know about radio. He said radio is a lot of fun and you are not allowed to say goodbye.

On February 23 at CRS, 11 of Country Music's most successful songwriters will perform at Bob Kingsley's Acoustic Alley. Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, JT Harding, Laura Veltz, Luke Laird, Ashley Gorley, Brett James, Rhett Akins, Busbee, Jon Nite, and Cole Taylor are all set to perform. It's the sixth year for Kingsely's after-hours CRS event.

Cumulus-owned WOGB-FM and WKRU-FM in Green Bay have a new PD. Dayton Kane takes over the reins at the Classic Hits and Triple-A/Alternative stations. Kane returns to northeast Wisconsin after a stint in Milwaukee, where he was PD for Scripps’ WKTI-FM. Kane was previously PD and morning host of WKSZ and WKZG for Woodward in Green Bay.

Former New York Giant and Super Bowl champion Chris Canty has joined ESPN New York 98.7FM’s Hahn & Humpty. Hosted by Alan Hahn and Rick DiPietro, the weekday show airs noon to 3 p.m. Canty, who was a defensive end, will also remain as a host for NY’s Game Day.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Cain will remain on five Cox Media Group news/talk radio stations but will no longer be syndicated nationally. The change will affect over 100 stations. The 70-year-old has been syndicated nationwide since January of 2013, taking over for Neal Boortz.

According to Adobe Digital Insights, consumers slapped down $3.34 billion online on Black Friday, that's an increase of 21.6% from 2015. On Thanksgiving day $1.4 billion was spent for a two-day total of more than $5 Billion, an increase of 11.5% over 2015. $1.2 Billion of that spending was placed using a mobile device, a 33% increase over 2015. Adobe says consumers have spent a total of $26 Billion online for the holiday season between Nov. 1 and Nov. 22, up 3.5% from 2015. Adobe measures 80% of all online transactions from the top 100 U.S. retailers.

Fort Wayne Broadcaster Bob Chase passed away on Thanksgiving Day at the age of 90. Chase was the radio voice of the Fort Wayne Komets hockey team for 63 seasons.

iHeart in Madison Wisconsin is turning back time with its flip to the "New Rewind 92.1, Madison’s Greatest Hits" station. The station was a progressive talker before a short stunt with holiday music.

Jeremy Powell gets the newly created position of Executive Producer for the Kicks 101.5 (WKHX-FM) morning show, “Cadillac Jack and Dallas, Mornings on Kicks 101.5.” Powell joins Kicks 101.5 from B98.5 (WSB-FM) in Atlanta, where he produced the station’s morning show for the past three years.
