To say voters are not very happy with their two major-party choices for President this year is not a news flash, and may be the understatement of the century. The folks at NextRadio say a recently conducted survey of NextRadio users found that 35% of the 3,700 respondents do not plan to vote, with another 23% answering they are undecided about voting. And here's what NextRadio discovered when they dug deeper into radio formats...

As of October 24, Yonni "Rude" O’Donoghue will be the new Operations Manager for Radio One's four stations in that market. O’Donoghue has nearly 20 years of Urban radio programming experience, including stints at Beasley Broadcasting, Tropix International Sound as a Project Manager, and as a programmer with Cumulus.

The streaming company says the latest version of its suite of marketing tools called Artist Marketing Platform (AMP), includes Artist Audio Messages, Featured Tracks, and AMPcast. The redesigned platform is aimed at helping artists grow their audience, track progress and connect with fans on Pandora.

According to Media Monitors, in the 85 major markets the company gathers data from, Hillary Clinton’s campaign aired 15,609 radio commercials over the past 10 days. Donald Trump’s campaign only ran five spots on the radio.

AdLarge Media is partnering with Front and Center Entertainment to rep three music-and-interview podcasts adapted from the public television series, Front and Center. The three podcasts – Front and Center, Speakeasy, and Iridium Live – will launch this fall.

Bob Rose will take over running the Alpha Media cluster in Mankato. Rose has been in radio for 35 years, most recently managing stations in Sioux Falls, SD, and St. Cloud, MN.

The CBS station is bringing in Corey B. for the 7:00 p.m.-12:00 Midnight shift. He takes over for Eric Tyler, who was recently upped to afternoons. A native of Tampa, FL, Corey is an eight-year radio veteran.

Superadio announced at NABOB's Power of Urban Radio Conference last week that they will partner with Baisden Media Group in collaboration with American Urban Radio Network, Perry Broadcasting, and others to distribute the show nationally. Baisden's show will air in afternoon drive. The start date of the show was not announced.

The six stations Ed Levine's Galaxy Communications is picking up are in the Berkshires area of western Massachusetts, operating as “Berkshires Media Group,” and owned by Gamma Broadcasting. The stations are WBEC-FM, WBEC-AM, WUPE-FM, WUPE-AM, WSBS-AM, and WNAW-AM.

Rob Kruz has been named PD of the "Hit Music Station" in Tampa. Kruz heads south from Baltimore where he was PD and afternoon driver for WZFT. He's worked on the air for WIHT-FM in Washington, D.C. and WQAL-FM in Cleveland, OH. He began his radio career in Detroit, MI at WDRQ while he attended the University of Michigan.
