ESPN’s Scott van Pelt was playing golf when a member of The University of Maryland’s 
student-run radio station reached out to him on Twitter. The station needed another $1200 to stay funded and keep operating. Van Pelt 
graduated from the school.
Van Pelt tweeted that he would take care of the station as soon as he got of the golf course and that’s exactly what he did, keeping the station alive.
