iHeartMedia in New York, the New Jersey Devils, and the Prudential Center have entered into a new partnership to launch the One Jersey Sports and Entertainment Network, a digital platform featuring all live regular season Devils hockey games and original Devils and New Jersey entertainment programming. Content can be heard on the Devils app and iHeartRadio.

With the festive season fast approaching, Albany, NY, Classic Rock station PYX 106 hosted the 2016 Toys for Tots Bike Run on October 23, collecting over 500 toys and $7,600 cash in the process. The whole bounty will go to Capital Region Toys for Tots.

Radio folk are always innovative when it comes to finding novel ways to raise money for charity. So a tip of the hat to WHBC-AM and Mix 94.1 (WHBC-FM) in Canton, OH, for presenting its fifth McKinley-Massillon Food Fight, which took place between October 17 and 28 (that’s a lot of food!).

On October 21, myFM 90.5 Exeter/Grand Bend (Ontario, Canada) held its 3rd Annual South Huron Hospital Foundation Radiothon, raising a massive $91,000-plus. All proceeds go towards Jessica’s House, a residential hospice created to serve the South Huron area.

iHeart's '80s Til' Now station in Detroit, WNIC-FM, have added Allyson Martinek as co-host on the Jay Towers In The Morning Show. Previously, Martinek served as the morning personality for 96.3 WDVD in Detroit.

As we reported last week, CBS Radio's SportsRadio 94WIP has announced Chris Carlin (pictured left) will be joining Ike Reese for afternoon drive. Carlin and Reese will officially launch on Monday.

This time in Grand Rapids where the syndicated host held his Smart Money event at DeVos Performance Hall. Ramsey combined forces with iHeart affiliate News Radio WOOD to promote the event.

It's a newly created position for the company owned by Ed Levine's Galaxy Communications, which also owns 14 radio stations in Syracuse and Utica-Rome. Galaxy Events owns events including Wine and Chocolate Festivals, K-Rockathon, Taste of Syracuse, and many more.

It continues to be a great week for Beasley Media. First the close of the Greater Media deal, then an earnings release with a nice bump in revenue. The $1.5 million increase in top-line revenue for the third quarter was attributed to great quarters turned in by the company’s Tampa, Charlotte, and Fayetteville markets. Both Tampa and Charlotte were markets Beasley picked up from CBS Radio back in 2014.

Being able to spin off four stations to Entercom in Charlotte for $24 million as part of the Greater Media transaction will play a big part in helping Caroline Beasley bring down the company's debt. And that's what she plans to use that money for. Keeping debt low is why Beasley says the outlook for more growth is attractive.
