Jacobs Media: Listening to The Radio is Changing
That's according to the latest Jacobs Media study of radio listeners, Techsurvey 13. Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs says radio’s traditional listening locations – the home, the car, and the workplace – are undergoing change. "From content consumed to new distribution outlets to emerging gadgetry, the traditional pattern of media usage and radio listening are changing – in some cases, rapidly."

Revenue At iHeart’s Radio Stations Was Up
Revenues increased $27.3 million, or 3.8%, excluding political revenue. CFO Richard Bressler said it was the 16th consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth for iHeart's radio stations, and he added that iHeart was outperforming its peers in the radio industry.
Bressler: We Were Surprised By Soft Ad Market
On Thursday morning, there were a lot of questions from analysts about iHeartMedia's debt, higher expenses, and how the company will survive moving forward. iHeartCommunications has $365 million in cash compared to $845 million a year ago. Expenses were up, operating income was down, and debt remained flat at $20.3 billion.
